The Pavilion at the Tower of London hosted the prestigious Aspire Sports Quiz Dinner in the summer. The fundraising event took place within the shadow of this famous London landmark, making a fantastic setting for the evening’s entertainment.
The event saw 500 guests treated to a sparkling wine and cocktail reception in the grounds of the Pavilion at the Tower of London, before moving inside to be welcomed by Aspire’s President, BBC broadcaster John Inverdale.
The Aspire Sports Quiz Dinner is a regular event on Aspire’s fundraising calendar. Money raised from the event supports people paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury, for which there is currently no cure.
The event included a three-course seated dinner by Create Food and Party Design, including a main course of roast steak with pont neuf, roast vine tomatoes, heritage baby carrots with a wild mushroom and marmite butter and a béarnaise sauce. For dessert guests enjoyed a coconut Sable with pickled blueberries, fresh honeycomb and a coconut sorbet, accompanied by blueberry macarons, toffee sauce and blueberry jelly.
Following dinner, guests took part in a Silent Auction, before putting their sporting knowledge to the test with the night’s hotly-anticipated interactive sports quiz.
As the event drew to a close, the quiz, auction and raffle winners received their prizes on stage and guests were thanked for their generosity as the night’s total fundraising amount of over £123,000 was announced.
